Kay Lovelace, Ph.D., M.P.H.

Dr. Kay Lovelace is an Associate Professor in the Department of Public Health Education at The University of North Carolina Greensboro.  Her research is on public health systems, particularly as it pertains to factors predicting the practices and performance of local health departments, particularly in regard to the use of evidence-based decision making strategies.  She has also conducted quantitative and qualitative research on issues such as public health preparedness, interorganizational collaboration, and the public health workforce.  Dr. Lovelace earned an MPH in health education from the Gillings School of Global Public Health at UNC and a PhD in organizational behavior from the Kenan-Flagler School of Business.  Prior to earning her PhD, she had 12 years of public health practice experience.
