What is the deadline to register for the conference?
Registration will close on Friday, March 26, 2010.

How long will the conference rate be available for hotel rooms at the Marriott?
The cut-off date is Friday, March 26, 2010.  Click here to go directly to online reservations.

Is there an agenda online for review?
A tentative agenda has been posted on the conference website near the top of the page.

Is there a cost for registration?
No. Thanks to the generous support of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) we do not charge a registration fee.

My abstract was accepted by the review committee. Do I still need to submit a registration form?
Yes. We need to have a registration form for each attendee.

Are there an unlimited number of tickets available for the Keeneland Race Course outing?
No. We only have a limited number of tickets available. They are available on a first come, first serve basis.

How can I pay for my Keeneland Race Course tickets?
We only accept checks.

If I select the Keeneland Race Course option, will tickets be held for me if I mail in a check?
Yes. We will hold your tickets while check payment is being mailed, if indicated on form.

How will I get from the hotel to Keeneland or the Bluegrass Airport after the conference?
Transportation to Keeneland and the airport will be provided on Thursday afternoon. Please refer to the logistics form available for download on the conference website.

I would like to see other historic places in and around the Lexington.  Is there a Visitor's Guide available?
Yes, please visit the Lexington, Kentucky Convention and Visitors Bureau at www.visitlex.com for more information.


What is the cut-off time for submitting reimbursable expenses?
All reimbursement requests must be received by Becki Brown at the University of Kentucky no later than May 21, 2010. Please refer to the logistics form provided to you.

I am speaking or moderating a session during the conference. 
What do I have to provide to the conference staff?

You should have received a logistics form, registration form and speaker checklist. Items and deadlines are provided on the checklist.

I am presenting a poster during the conference. 
What do I have to provide to the conference staff?

Will I have contact with the moderators and others in my session or on my panel?
Yes. We will email you the names of the other presenters/panelists and encourage you to communicate with them prior to the conference.

I would like to participate in the ‘Dine-A-Round’. 
Will I have to cover the cost of my own meal?

Yes. Each person is responsible for covering the cost of their own meal.

Will there be transportation provided to the ‘Dine-A-Round’ restaurants?
Yes. We have arranged for group transportation to each restaurant.

My company is interested in exhibiting during the conference. 
Is there a cost and how can I register?

Thanks again to the generous support from RWJF, we are not charging a fee to exhibit. Interested individuals can download the exhibitors registration form at the bottom of the conference website.

If I submit an exhibitor registration form, do I still have to submit a general registration form?
Yes. Complete and return an
exhibitors registration form, then each person attending the conference should submit a registration form.

Have the dates for next year’s conference been determined?
At the present time, no dates have been selected. Please check back on the conference site for information.

Is there a conference survey available for submission?
During the conference, we will have comment cards available for attendees. In the week following the conference, we will upload an online survey and email attendees who submitted their contact information.

Will the conference details be posted on various social networks?
Yes. At the present time we are on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. We will also have guest bloggers posting on Scutch’s Blog and posting podcasts from the conference.

I would like to Twitter about the conference is there a hashtag that I should use?

Yes.  Please use #keenelandconf, #publichealth and #phssr when tweeting about the conference.

Will handouts of the presenters’ slides be available during the conference?
No.  In interest of cost cutting and the environment, we will not be printing handouts this year. But, we will also post PDFs of their presentations online after the close of the conference.

Will copies of the posters presented during the conference also be available online?
Yes. If the presenters submit their files by the deadline, we will have copies posted online after the close of the conference.

During the conference, will there be internet access in the lobby or a place for me to check email, etc.?
We are working with the Griffin Gate Marriott to set up a lounge area in the Terrace Atrium. Please check with a conference representative at the registration table for additional details.
