Helen W. Wu, Ph.D., M.S.

Dr. Wu is a Policy and Research Analyst for the Institute for Population Health Improvement (IPHI) at the UC Davis Health System, and Assistant Clinical Professor (Volunteer Series) for the UC Davis School of Public Health. She provides project leadership and high-level policy, scientific, and statistical expertise across a range of population health efforts at IPHI. Dr. Wu’s work addressing chain restaurant menu nutrition was widely cited in the general media, and she earned Article of the Year honors from the AcademyHealth Public Health Systems Research Interest Group. Dr. Wu's research project connects her past research efforts on public health nutrition with public health systems research.

Dr. Wu holds a PhD in Policy Analysis from the Pardee RAND Graduate School, with dual analytical concentrations in Quantitative Methods and Political & Social Sciences, and a MS in Health Evaluation Sciences from the University of Virginia, with a specialization in Health Services Research and Outcomes Evaluation.
